ROSALIND WESTLAKE, ESQ. - Sole Member

I received my Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law - Newark in 1991.  My Bachelor of Arts degree is from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC.  After graduating from law school, I held a judicial clerkship position with the Hon. C. Judson Hamlin, P.J. Ch., (ret.) in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County until September of 1992.  I started my own practice in 2010.  I have also been Of Counsel to the Bhuchar Law Firm since 2016.

I have been a member of the bar of the New Jersey Supreme Court and the Federal District Court of New Jersey since 1991; the Third Circuit Court of Appeals since 1998; and the Supreme Court of the United States since 2001. I currently serve on the District XIII Ethics Committee.

After my judicial clerkship, I joined the law firm of Borrus, Goldin, Foley, Vignuolo, Hyman & Stahl, PC in the fall of 1992; first as an associate, then as senior associate in 2000 and as partner in 2003.  During my tenure with Borrus, Goldin, Foley, et als., my practice ranged from commercial and residential real estate transactions to land use and planning; from stock transfers, asset sales and purchases to business succession plans and simple estate planning; from business entity formation and corporate governance to prosecuting and defending in municipal court.

Public service has always been an important part of my legal career.  I served as First Alternate Municipal Prosecutor for East Windsor Township from 1997 through 2004 and was the Planning Board Attorney for Milltown Borough from 2009 through 2012.  I acted as one of the three Municipal Prosecutors for Edison Township from 2010 to 2014.  I also serve as the Chair of the Planning Board and Chair of the Open Space Committee in my hometown of Delaware Township. I was a founding member of Delaware Township Citizens Against the Pipeline and a Trustee with HALT-PennEast which successfully defeated a developer's condemnation case seeking to take Open Space and preserved land paid for by taxpayers for private profit.  From 2001 through 2006, I was a member of the Board of Trustees for CASA of Mercer County, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy on behalf of children in the foster care system.  As Program Director, from 1999 through 2018, of the Joseph Halpern-David Furman Inn of Court chapter of the American Inns of Court, I had the opportunity to mentor young lawyers in the practice of law with professionalism, ethics and courtesy.

I live with my husband, Steven and our four cats, Sam, Wendy, Oliver and Fiona and occasionally a fifth stray kitty I call Freddie.  Steve and I are serious foodies and love to travel.  We enjoy our three grandchildren and participate in Porsche Club competition car racing as well as hiking, biking, skiing and gardening.
